Prayer is not a way to get God to do what you want Him to do. Stop and think for a moment – is what you want going to glorify (worship) Him? Or are you asking for something that will dishonor Him and that is NOT in accordance with His will?

Prayer is serious business. James 5:16 says, Therefore, confess your sins to one another, and pray for one another so that you may be healed. The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much. I learned many years ago that it’s not the one who prays, but the one who answers.
